Knights of Columbus Volunteers: Serving the Homeless Community at Corpus Christi House

On October 6, 2023, two of our fellow Brother Knights, Deputy Grand Knight Kyle Bunker and Brother Greg Assmus, generously dedicated several hours to serve our Treasure Valley Community. They collected clothing donations from Holy Apostles Catholic Church parishioners and delivered them to Corpus Christi House in Boise, Idaho.

The donations from Holy Apostles Parishioners included a variety of clothing items such as shirts, pants, blankets, coats, and other essential items that are greatly needed. These donated items go through a sorting process and are then sent for cleaning before being distributed to the homeless community.

During our Council’s volunteer deliveries, we have the privilege of meeting and collaborating with many other dedicated volunteers who share in the mission of Corpus Christi House.

Corpus Christi House has been providing a sanctuary for Boise’s homeless population since 2003, offering a place to find shelter from extreme weather conditions, preserving human dignity, and accessing support within our community.

If you are interested in volunteering your time for this meaningful cause, please contact Community Director Brother Fred Klein at community@KofC11548.org.

Donation bins for clothing can be found on the east side of Holy Apostles. These donations are delivered to Corpus Christi House every Monday and Friday by dedicated Members of Council #11548, like Kyle and Greg, who are committed to making a difference in our Community.
